10 MINUTES TO WORLD HERITAGE FRASER ISLAND

If you’re thinking about exploring Fraser Island, here’s some information to help you decide whether you should depart from Rainbow Beach or Hervey Bay. . .

The ferry crossing only takes 10 minutes from Rainbow Beach and drops you on the Eastern side of the Island, where all Fraser Island attractions are located. This saves you travelling across the island on the inland tracks, which you’d have to do if you caught the ferry (45 minutes) from Hervey Bay.
